Bates Restaurant has a heritage that stretches back over a quarter of a century.

The concept behind Bates is to offer truly world-class cuisine but with extraordinary value. To that end, the menus and fresh ingredients are noteworthy but also of importance is the atmosphere and character of this old hostelry: It looks formal but it is in fact very relaxed and comfortable.

Bates has been around for a very long time and the commitment of the management and staff and customers means that it will still be here in another 250 years.
